Halloween Weekend in a Nut Shell

Hey there folks

Last weekend was a fun filled weekend.

Not only did I work all Saturday on a very exciting project with work of opening up a Mountain Bike Park in Golden, yet I was also roped into experiencing Halloween on Pearl Street.

First up was the park opening. We have been working on this project ever since we brought Marketing to life for Native in 2008. I am not the biggest about posting about work items on my blog but this has been a project that I am very passionate about.

Here are a few photos from the day:
Our Native Pro Rider came into town to ride with everyone
Riders of all ages took to the flow trails and pump tracks
The Mayor of Golden even cut the ribbon on his bike!
And lastly, Native was everywhere!

It was a really neat day of city festivites and watching over 300 individuals of all ages enjoy the park. We also are creating a documentary of Urban Mountain Bike Parks where we have focused on 3 different parks around the country to create inspiration for others to create parks in their cities and to help grow communities. Please click here to see a trailer we made of the video. We are very excited to launch the video later this year.

So after a fun filled day of that, I was roped into setting foot on Pearl street to see all of the Halloween craze. My current plans were cut short and Blake did not want me to just sit at home while there was so much action I would be missing out on so I bit the bullet and said I would go. If you are wondering where my husband was...oh he was busy on a ride along with our friend Reggie who is a cop so he had one fun night from the cop car. Anyway, I quickly became a cow girl and took to the streets. Pearl street is covered in every costume you can imagine. If you like to people watch...this is the best night ever!

Blake had one heck of a costume brought back from his time in Kuwait. It was amazing how many people stopped him to tell their stories, where they were from, get a picture from him or fix his costume to the correct way to wear it...
Here are some classics of the night:
I hope everyone had a fun Holiday!

Cheers!

Jax
